Official DC Joker Design.

I had the opportunity to design an official Joker helmet with Warner Bros and DC Comics.

I worked on the design from the early concept stages right through to production and marketing. The success of the Ruroc ATLAS Joker design lead to me working on Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Riddler designs with my team.

Here is one of the concept designs I created for The Joker helmet.

Overall I produced over 12 concepts for The Joker helmet - from Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix inspired designs to more classic interpretations, which is what I decided to proceed with.

Why So Serious?

Comic style designs typically lean towards a younger audience, from the marketing and language used to the very designs and products created.

When I kicked-off the Ruroc x DC project one of the first things I decided was we needed to break away from the cliché comic designs that populate the motorcycle industry. Our designs needed to be well-considered and true to the characters they represent but, unlike anything anyone had seen before.
