Tallow + Ash: Cocoa Butter Kisses design
Hey! I wanted to give you a quick look at the Cocoa Butter Kisses project, from the design process to the marketing strategy behind it.
I designed the overall aesthetic of the bottle and the imagery to evoke a sense of natural comfort and indulgence, using rich, earthy tones and soft, tactile elements.
For the colour palette, I chose deep browns and creamy whites to represent the warmth and richness of the "Cocoa Butter Kisses" scent. The brown, matte finish of the bottle feels clean and understated, while also standing out as modern and minimalistic.
For the background, I wanted to emphasize the natural, inviting essence of the fragrance, so I used a texture reminiscent of cocoa powder, with scattered cocoa beans to highlight the raw, organic elements of the scent. The fragrance itself has clean, sweet-chocolatey notes, so I incorporated creamy streaks that swirl behind the bottle to represent the softness and nourishing qualities of cocoa butter. Together, these elements create a sense of comfort and indulgence, while also hinting at the gentle yet effective cleaning power of the laundry shampoo.
My goal was to create a visual experience that feels nurturing and warm while also beautifully conveying the essence of the fragrance to the customer.
